This intensive 2-day programme is suitable for Healthcare and Allied-health professionals looking to enhance the quality-of-life of those in their care.
The programme begins with a global overview of how aromatherapy is used within Hospice and Palliative Care settings.
This is followed by a closer look at what essential oils, fixed (carrier) oils and hydrosols are and their common methods of extraction.
Importantly, issues of essential oil/hydrosol safety, toxicity and storage are covered in depth.
Profiles of 8 essential oils, suitable for use within this area, are considered in detail.
Several practical sessions explore the art of essential oil blending suitable for the Palliative Care setting using aromatic inhalation and skin absorption methods.
Finally, participants will make 2 personalised blends to take home. PowerPoint notes will be provided.
Course fees are $447 +GST per person, includes all materials.
